He was predeceased by: his parents, Ophilia Carter (Richardson) and Norman Carter. He is survived by: his sister Norma; his son Jack; his wife Patricia; his daughter Canette; and his sister Emmie Renfro. He is also survived by four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
