He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Anderson and Leah Anderson; and his son Dr. James D. Anderson Jr. (Jim). He is survived by: his wife Joan Anderson; his children, Linda Anderson of Beacon, N. Y., David Anderson Lakeland (Mary Lib) and Tom Anderson (Lisa); and his brother Richard Anderson. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to First Presbyterian Church.
