He was predeceased by: his parents, Aronald Hess and Litha M. Hess (Dye); and his siblings, Lois E. James and Jerry E. Hess. He is survived by: his children, Theresa C Auck, David J. Hess, Diana Moss (Jay) and Eric Hess; his grandchildren, Elizabeth A. Lutz (Damon Adams), Joshua C. Auck (Britanny Garnow), Stephen, Ashley Hess (Wheeler), Daniel, Brianna Hess (Cruz), Emily R. Ray (Nicholas), Rebekah Hess, Emily G. Leong (Michael), Jacob, Ellen Moss (Freeborn) and Eli Moss; his siblings, Allena Miller, Betty R. Harris, Phyllis S. Lariviere, Nancy C. Russell (Robert) and Ferrell D. Hess; and his daughter-in-law Christie Hess. He is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
