He was predeceased by: his parents, James Thomas Matthews Jr. and Mary Carr Matthews. He is survived by: his wife Judith Ann Matthews; his son Cody Matthews (Lorie); his sister Ella Matthews; his grandchildren, Chenoa Smith (Brandon) and Chyanne Sargent (Kyle); and his great grandchildren, Caelan, Callum and Addison.
