He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Thomas Brooks and Jewell Pardue Williams; his former wife Wanda Lorena Martin Brooks; his children, Jennifer Adkins and Jody Brooks; and his sister Lela Nell Mellinger.
He is survived by: his wife Rosalie Brooks of Lakeland, FL; his daughters, Tina Poland of Scottsville, KY, Tamela Mitchell of Glasgow, KY, Theresa Douglas of Lakeland, FL and Wanda Raquel Lilly of Pomona, IL; his grandchildren, Deric Poland (Sarah), Eric Poland (Kendra), Hannah Davenport (Cory), Zac Douglas (Terry), Alexis Booker (Riko), McKinzie Patterson (Richard), Bryce Lilly, Melanie Adkins, Logan Mitchell (Julia) and Jodie Marie Brooks; and his great grandchildren, Carter and Gracyn Poland.
