He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph "Clyde" Spooner and Eunice Spooner. He is survived by: his wife Cheryl; his children, Kerri Gambrel (Aaron) and Marc Spooner (Noelle); his grandsons, Matthew, Hudson and Graham; and his sister Lois Traxler (Emmett). He is also survived by nieces and a nephew.
