He is survived by: his children, Denise Godwin, Teresa Godwin, Sonya Godwin-Brown and Joseph N. Godwin, Jr. (Lihwa); his grandchildren, Antonio D. Godwin, Sr., Unique Brown, Joseph N. Godwin, III, Rashawn K. Godwin and Jevon J. Godwin; his great grandchildren, Antonio D. Godwin, Jr. and Koa Godwin; and his siblings, Mary Wright, Martha Luke, Berniece, Mae Smith and Raymon Godwin. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Gause Funeral Home (625 S Holland Pkwy, Bartow, FL 33830). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
