He was predeceased by: his parents, Pablo Mariano Valdivia and Estrella Rodriguez; his in-laws, Urbano and Julia Gonzalez; and his siblings, Esther Conde, Miguel Mariano Valdivia, Orlando Valdivia (Olga), Pablo, Aldo Valdivia, Luis Valdivia, Celin Valdivia (Ofelia), Ruben Valdivia and Elsi Gonzalez.
He is survived by: his wife Miraida Gonzalez of Anthony's Church; his children, Anne Margaret Martin (Omar) of Basking Ridge, NJ, Miguel Valdivia (Michelle) of Lakeland, FL and Marco Valdivia (Nancy) of Cranford, NJ.; his grandchildren, Mitchel, Kristina, Peter, Marco Jr., Macy, Mila and Max; his great grandchild Aiden; and his siblings-in-law, Tirso Gonzalez, Ovelio Gonzalez, Romarico Gonzalez, Merida Fernandez, Urbano Gonzalez (Jackie), Sofia Valdivia and Graciela. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
