He was predeceased by: his parents, Marcus Thacker and Frances Walker Thacker; and his wife Kay Thacker. He is survived by: his sons, Michael Thacker and Joseph "Joe" Thacker (Emiley); his partner Beverly Foster; his granddaughter Avery; and his friends, Henry Navarro, Rick Foster and Kathleen Foster.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Joe's honor to his beloved church, Our Savior Lutheran Church in Lakeland.
