He is survived by : his wife Jean Kennedy; his son Michael Kennedy Jr. (Angela); his grandchildren, David, Drew and Whitney; his great grandchildren, Iris and Leilani; and his sisters, Sharon Lyster and Nancy Scheltes (Bob). He is also survived by his family, friends.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 23rd 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Gentry-Morrison Funeral Homes - Southside Chapel (1727 Bartow Rd, Lakeland, FL 33801). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, April 24th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Oak Hill Cemetery (4620 US Hwy 98 S, Lakeland, FL 33812).
