He is survived by: his wife Frieda Whaley of Bartow, FL; his children, Michelle Royce (Steve) of Lake Placid, FL, Terri Whitaker of Bartow, FL and Michael Whaley, Jr. (Heather) of Arlington, WA.; his stepchildren, Shanna Calandros (John) of Bartow, FL, Jill Pittman of Bartow, FL and Sam Gibbs (Linda) of Pensacola, FL; and his siblings, Alonzo Whitehead of Brandon, FL, Tommy Whitehead of Louisville, KY and Elania Gustat of Hendersonville, TN. He is also survived by 12 Grandchildren and 2 Great-Grandchildren.
