She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Day and Billie Mae Hunley (Sain); her grandparents, David and Mattie Sain; her children, Spanish Bean Soup, Cherry Muffins, Brown Sugar, David Sharrett (Michelle) and John Sharrett (Becky); her stepchildren, Japonesa Maria Berges of Miami, FL, Ramon Berges (Beatriz) and Luis Berges of Miami, FL; her grandchildren, Storm, Ashton (Brielle), Cassidy, Aaron, Erica Sharrett, Victoria, William Read, Lisa, Megan and Matthew Berges (Leanna); her great grandchild Elsie Sharrett; her cousins, Greta Dajani, Buford Brown, David Brown, Cindy Anderson and Karen Daniel; her husband Ramon Berges; her sister Judy McGrath (Hunley); and her stepdaughter-in-law Myrna Berges.

Upon moving back to Florida in 2021, she donated most of her books to Lake Gibson Village for other residents to read and enjoy.
