He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Boekeloo and Mary Boekeloo (Wells); and his siblings, William Boekeloo, Leah Alfieri (Boekeloo) and Jane Mohney (Boekeloo).

He is survived by: his wife Charlene Pool; his children, David (Linda), Jeffrey and Lisa (Jeff Smith); his grandchildren, Kara Glassen, Matthew Smith and Lauren Boekeloo; and his great grandchild Sutton Smith.
