He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael McInerney and Virginia Unversack; and his siblings, Donna Groom and P. H. Layman. He is survived by: his wife Lee McInerney; and his sons, Robert McInerney II and Steve McInerney. He is also survived by his three grandchildren.
