It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Timothy M. Shields (Lakeland, Florida), born in Avon Park, Florida, who passed away on November 4, 2022, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Hubert and Irene; his sister Peggy; and his nieces and nephews, Marty and Michael O'Grady.

He is survived by: his wife Jan; his son Brian; his sister Judy Bucksot (Ron); and his nieces, Kelli Valler Lara (Michael) and Fallon Carla (Paul). He is also survived by many other cousins, nieces and nephews.

I had the privilege of cheering for the Crusaders as one of the leaders of the “Bleacher Bums”, a student pep club at the college. But in getting to know Tim, you quickly realized there was much more to him than sports! A friend, a confidant, and spiritual leader in AND outside his circle of friends, Tim impacted the lives of everyone he touched. RIP Curly!”
