He was predeceased by : his parents, Manuel Bernardo and Maria Jose Pires (Domingos); his daughter Maria Lenor Pires; and his brother Joao Morais. He is survived by : his wife Maria Vitorina Pires (Martins); his sons, Manuel Francisco Pires (Cristina Pires) of St. Helena, CA and Fernando Joao Pires (Carolina Pires) of Lakewood Ranch, FL; his sister Maria Ventura of Lexington, Kentucky; his grandchildren, Jennifer Pres Muzerall, Christina Quinones, Brian Pires, Ashley M. Pires and Jeremy R. Pires; and his great grandchildren, Madeline Muzerall, Grant Muzerall and Leo Quinones.
