He was predeceased by : his parents, Joseph Smith and Beverly Smith (Somers); his in-laws, Harry and Peggy Baldassari; his sisters, Beverly Mae Smith and Violet McCloskey; his brothers-in-law, Lou Baldassari and Vincent Sireci Jr.; and his niece Berenice Stevenson.
He is survived by : his wife Anita Baldassari Smith of Trenton; his daughter Lynda Kopecki (Michael Kopecki); his sister Berenice Sireci; his brother-in-law Rick Baldassari (Jill); and his nieces and nephews, Keith Williams, Tony Baldassari (Kristin), Beverly Solito (Sherri), Loretta Swieconek, Jessie Baldassari and Vincent Sireci III. He is also survived by great nieces, nephews and godchildren.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital in his name.
