He was predeceased by: his parents, Anita Hartman Dinsmore and Welby Walkling. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Walkling; his children, Patricia Irene Walkling Baker and Charles Hilmer Walkling Jr.; his granddaughters, Heather Marie Baker and Meagan Nicolle Baker Wertz; his great grandchildren, Trey, Kloee and Bentleigh; and his siblings, William Leroy Walkling Sr. and Sharon Walkling Park.
Charles was an avid Baltimore Orioles and Ravens fan, enjoyed attending church, working on word search puzzles, donating clothes and shoes to those in need, and recycling copper and other metals.
