She was predeceased by : her parents, Andrew Speck and Frances Speck; her husband Frank Pokorny; her former life partner John P. Taczy; her siblings, Pete Speck, John Speck and Kate Patterson (John); and her nephew John Patterson.

She is survived by : her daughter Paula Horbay (Rich Burzanko); her brother Carl Speck Sr. (Nancy); her grandson Frank Horbay (Sarah Briggs); her great grandchildren, Gavin and Raegan Horbay; and her nieces and nephews, Barbara Pokorny Kellogg, Nancy Pokorny (Ann), Sharon Patterson, Lori Schott (Wilfred), Cherrie Simesek (Joe), Susan Callahan (David), Dickie Pokorny, Eugene Petersen (Bev), David Pokorny (Edna), Kenneth Pokorny, Keith Pokorny, Carl Speck (Chic), Scott Patterson (Dee), Joseph Santo (Denise), David Swann (Rebecca) and Jack Swann (Barbara).

Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 23rd 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Best Funeral Home (15809 Madison Rd, Middlefield, OH 44062). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, April 24th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Mary Catholic Church (401 North St, Chardon, OH 44024).
