He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Herman and Helen Herman (Mraz); his wife Isabel Janet Herman (Cook); his son Joseph Michael Herman; and his sister Betty Mimnaugh (Herman).
He is survived by: his daughters, Janet McNeill (Bill), Julie Herman and Jena Thompson (Tony); and his grandchildren, Nicholas Moerch and Emily Thompson.
