She was predeceased by: her parents, Salvatore Nicastro and Pauline Nicastro; her husband James Edward Parent Sr.; her grandson Joseph Parent; her siblings, Joseph, Phillip, Albert, Victor, Connie and Dorothy; and her daughters-in-law, Rosie Parent and Jennie Parent.
She is survived by: her children, Raymond Duncan Parent II (Cynthia), James Edward Parent Jr., Hartley Irving Parent II (Amanda) and Roxanne Gomez (Gregory Campbell). She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was active in RSVP, the Ontario Woman's Club, Rose Bowl Parade Volunteers, Redford Lutheran Quilters for World Relief and the Pastor's Pantry Soup Kitchen.
