He was predeceased by : his parents, Lester Gessner and Helen Viola "Vi" Gessner (Johnson). He is survived by : his significant other Bonnie Kupczynski; his sons, Richard James Gessner (Wenda) of Woodinville, WA and Thomas Charles Gessner (Kimberly) of Plymouth, MN; his grandchildren, Steven Gessner, Kelli Gessner, Rachel Gessner, Erik Gessner, Kaden Kupczynski, Brenden Kupczynski and Madisen Kupczynski; his brother Donald Gessner (Stephanie) of Lecanto; his significant other's children, Holly Swanson (Eric) of Minneapolis and Lee Kupczynski (Kimberly) of Elk River, MN; and the mother of his children Nancy Gessner of Duluth. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
