He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Rutherford and Dessie Bass Rutherford; his former wife Eloise Rutherford; his daughter Martha Alice Rutherford; and his siblings, Leona Powers (Jim) and J. W. Rutherford (Joyce).
He is survived by: his wife Alice Eloise Sevor; his close friends, Leroy Douglas Jr. (Lori) of Lee and Darleen Taylor (Rob) of Crawfordville; his brother Donnie Rutherford (Ardys) of Land O' Lakes; his grandchildren, Bill Rutherford (Stacy), Maria Gilbert (Artie), Robin Crum (Caleb), Kristina Gilbert (Shane), Michelle Burns (Josh), Samantha Turner (Jordan), Sophia Dowdy (Nick) and Zachary Salsgiver (Amanda); and his great grandchildren, Gavin Bush, Shaylee Pearcy, Ava Bush, Mikey Pearcy, Hannah Gilbert, Garrett Gilbert, Deborah Rutherford, Parker Gilbert, Levi Gilbert, Connor Gilbert, Aaralyn Smith, Hadley Turner, Cameron Gilbert, Jase Burns, Carver Turner and Nash Turner. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Lee First Baptist Church (8157 US-90, Lee, FL 32059). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 5539 US 90, Lee, Fl 32059.
