He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Harley and Myrtle Belle Chaffin Thompson; and his siblings, Dewey Thompson, Cheryl Dixon, Andrew Thompson, Wanda Thompson Brooks, Lonnie Thompson and Stephen Thompson.
He is survived by: his children, Brandon Lee Thompson of Lake Park, Georgia and Kiley Thompson; his son-in-law Patrick Loveless of Monticello, Florida; his grandsons, Brandon Ray Lee Thompson Jr. and Andrew Levi Thompson of Cleveland, Tennessee; and his siblings, Mary Anderson of Lake Park, Eileen Fahnestock (Don) of Jacksonville and Redgie Thompson (Ann) of Crossville, Tennessee. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
