He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester and Sadie; and his brother Chester Stanek. He is survived by: his friends, Barb, Gerry, Bud and Sally; his wife Lucia Stanek; his children, Michelle Zelensky (Michael), Nicole Young and Geoff Stanek (Char); his grandchildren, Sadie, Jill Young, Cameron, Maia Stanek and Sofia Del Signore; his great grandchild Drew Rocha; his sister Catherine Fonte; and his caregivers, Elaine and Elea. He is also survived by sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Beyers Funeral Home (1123 W Main St, Leesburg, FL 34748). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
