He is survived by: his wife Helen (Ewing); his children, Donald Ames Jr., David Ames (Rose) and Barbara Grubb (John); his grandchildren, Karen Ames, Donald Ames III, Blair Ames, Jess Berry, Stephen, Michael Kellar, Erin and Amanda Grubb; his great grandchildren, Jadon, Connor and Reagan; and his sisters, Joan Davis (Wayne) and Janet Banos.
