She was predeceased by: her parents, Ollie Howard (Shepherd) and Harvey Howard; her grandson Landon Howard Rogers; and her siblings, Orville, Raymond Howard, Margaret Rose, Audrey Loughran, Wendy Wise and Emily Short.
She is survived by: her husband Carl E. Childers; her son Howard Lee Rogers (Cheryl) of Gainesville, FL; her stepson Carl (Ed) Childers (Joy); her grandchildren, Hannah Rogers, Lauren Rogers of Gainesville, FL and Trey Childers of Salisbury, NC; and her siblings, James Howard (Darlene), Ida Townsend and Della Cook (Stan). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Phillips Funeral Home (1004 S 7th St, Ironton, OH 45638). A funeral service was held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
