He was predeceased by: his parents, Nelia Sloan and Dave Sloan; and his siblings, Jack Sloan, Thelma Knight and Jewell Stansell.
He is survived by: his wife Peggy (Parrish); and his children, Dave of Slone Ridge and Kathy Black (David) of Slone Ridge. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 6 nieces, 3 nephews, and multiple friends.
