He was predeceased by: his parents, Helen Hayes and Orrill William Hayes; his children, Heather, Lara and Mark; his sister Kerry Matthews; and his brothers-in-law, Robert Matthews and Kevin Bray.
He is survived by: his son Russell (Sandra) of Austin, TX; his grandchildren, Brendan Hayes and Kristen Hayes; his great grandchildren, Oliver Hayes and Eowyn Hayes; his sisters, Suzie Bray of Holyoke, MA, Celeste (Kyle High) of Amarillo, TX and Tina (John Chambers) of North Port; and his former wife Phyllis Hayes. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
