He was predeceased by : his parents, Marcus Speros Chacona and Elizabeth Harrington Volz Chacona; his brother Charles Christian Chacona; and his nephew Michael Joseph Chacona. He is survived by : his former life partner Linda of Mt. Dora; his children, Marcus Chaconas III (Michael Greene) of Syracuse, Alexandra Chaconas of Mt. Dora and Andrea Chaconas-Jackson; his grandchildren, Madison and Maverick of Eustis, Florida; his son Christopher Key; and his grandchildren, Nathan and Jimmie of Longwood, Florida..

In lieu of flowers, donations are appreciated to St Jude's Children's Hospital (stjude.org), which Marcus supported for decades.
