Monika leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Monika’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around her. Though she is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support she offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Monika will carry forward her memory in their hearts.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Else Anna Feklhauer and Karl Joseph Nissner; her husband John McDowell Potter; and her stepson John M. Potter, II (Heinz William Erick Fortmueller). She is survived by: her children, Aren Chris Fortmueller (Laura), Barbara Ann Groves and Linda Creson Williams (Rick); and her stepchildren, Jennifer Potter Hoban, Kimberley Potter Brown (Matthew) and David Potter (Cynthia). She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital in Monikas memory.
