With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Richard E. Reitz of Leesburg, Florida, born in Chicago, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 17, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Reitz and Mildred Reitz; his sister Beverly Patricia Bresinger; and his son Richard "Rick" Reitz. He is survived by: his wife Alice; his children, Gregory Reitz, Tina Mazzeo (Robert) of Haines City, FL, Susan Parille (Rob) of Zirconia, NC and Cherie Hensley (Bryan) of Hendersonville, NC; and his brother Ron Reitz (Dorothy) of Streamwood, IL. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Cornerstone Hospice, whose compassionate care supported Rich and his loved ones during his final days.
