He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett Sanborn and Eva Sanborn; his former wife Joan Purington; and his daughters, Eva and Ava.

He is survived by: his wife Barbara Pratt of Island Pond; his children, Renee Townsend (Darrell), Raymond (Patricia), Robert (Terry), Reginald (Tarnya), Ronald (Jaylene) and Richard; his stepchildren, Sherry Green (John), Steven Pratt (Amanda) and Laurie Duggan (John); his sister Helen Dalphonse; and his sisters-in-law, Patricia Dennison, Judy Purington, Jean Hinkley and Linda Bresette (Michael). He is also survived by 21 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephew and friends.
