She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Fern Simpson and Virginia Mae Plott Simpson (family: Methodist). She is survived by: her children, Joan Downen (Kevin), Dan Downen (Cori) and Brad Downen (Paula); her grandchildren, Seth, Jonah, Blake, Grace, Joseph, Leah and Julia; her great grandchild Jasper; and her caregivers, Tammy and Brooke.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 25th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Hodges Funeral Home at Lee Memorial Park (12777 FL-82, Fort Myers, FL 33913). A funeral Mass will be held on Sunday, October 25th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Raphael Catholic Church (2514 Lee Blvd, Lehigh Acres, FL 33971).
