He was predeceased by: his parents, William Thomas Corter, Sr. and Beulah Mae Corter (Reynolds); and his siblings, William Thomas Corter, Jr., Robert Corter, Jesse Calvin Corter, Harold Corter, Emma Corter, Nellie Anders, Nida Christine Corter, Dorothy Glass, Edith Daniels and Christine Pierce.
He is survived by: his wife Elvira Corter; his children, Michael Corter (Connie Darlene), Michelle Justice (Chris), Marilyn Horton (Alan), Melinda Read and Tiffany Corter; his sister Leatha Brock; his grandchildren, Heath Read (Erica), Devin Corter, Brad Corter (Ashley), Channing Horton and Jacqueline Justice; and his great grandchild Ezra Read.
