He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Oscar Harry Goforth and Mary Meece; his wife Dilia E. Goforth; his daughters, Rebecca Goforth Bush (Michael) and Melanie Goforth (Brock Schroeder); and his grandchildren, Cate Blue and Dalton.

Had a great time skiing on Lake Hollingsworth! and scuba diving in springs in northern Florida.
