He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Hunchak and Loretta Hunchak; and his siblings, Joe and Lorraine Schumann (Cliff). He is survived by: his wife Nina Kunzle Hunchak. He is also survived by seven nieces and nephews, numerous great-nieces and nephews, and one great-great-niece.
