He was predeceased by: his parents, Marshall Edgar and Edna Hammock Kirby; his daughter Susan A. Kirby; and his sister Sarah Kirby. He is survived by: his wife Sue Kirby of Lake City, FL; his children, Stan Palmer, Ronald "Ronnie" Palmer of Lake City, FL, Pamela Hubert (Scott) and Sonja McMullan (Michael); and his sister Relma Faul Lake City (Harvey). He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.
In Lieu of flowers family asks that donations be made to the missionary fund at Athens Baptist Church.
