He was predeceased by: his parents, Velvet Banks and Cammie Bayne Banks. He is survived by: his wife JoAnn Mullinax Banks; his children, Juanita Degenhard (Art), Rita Gross (Dan), Bertha Bloomster (Bobby), Margo Spooner (John) and William Sam Banks (Brenda); and his siblings, Thelma Quigley and John Smith (Kelly). He is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren, and 23 great-great-grandchildren.
