With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dwight Edward Sample of Longwood, Florida, born in Fort Smith, Arkansas, who passed away on March 14, 2024 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Bettye. He is survived by: his children, Dr. Steven Sample (Milli) of Savannah, Georgia and Karon Phillips (Tom) of Longwood, Florida; his grandchildren, Steven Sample, Jr. of Winter Garden, Wells Sample of Albany, Margit Sample of Atlanta and Kaley Gilford (Daniel) of Winter Springs, Florida; and his great grandchildren, Rowan Sample, Ben Gilford and Madelyne Jane Gilford.
