He was predeceased by: his father Wallace Reed Carroll; Brownie Eloise Carroll. He is survived by: his wife Jennifer Carroll; his children, Robert Albritton (Robin), Adam Flora (Lori), Megan Carroll, Christi Hinson (Jared) and Jenny Vest; his sister Wanda Kay May (Chuck); his grandchildren, Emma Wilson, Ethan Hinson, Tyler Vest, Taylor Vest, Jenelle Vest, Tegan Vest, Joseph Albritton, Vivian Albritton, Zuri Albritton, Alex Flora, Joshua Flora and Gabriel Flora; and his great grandchildren, Jensen Wilson, Yasheer Vest and Yazier Vest.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 4th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Brighton First Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Brighton First Baptist Church in David's honor and memory.
