He was predeceased by: his parents, James McCoy and Virgie McCoy; his sons, Donald Jeff McCoy and David McCoy; and his son-in-law Henry Severance.
He is survived by: his significant other Virginia McCoy; his children, Luther McCoy, Jr. (Linda), Terry McCoy, Gary McCoy, Janet Davis (Lowell Topsy), Angela Severance and Jennifer Troughton (Jason); and his grandchildren, Joshua Troughton, Jonathan Troughton, Ryan McCoy, Dara Young (Rusty), Christina Davis, Kimberly Davis and Mandie Hartford. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family.
