With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carl Rodney Barnes of Lynn Haven, Florida, who passed away on April 28, 2025 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Buren Porter Barnes and Grace Shaw Barnes; and his siblings, Bertha Lee Maulden, Sarah Poteat, Martha Jo Jones, Ann Stinson, Glenda Faye, Bruce, Lamar and James.
He is survived by: his wife Pat Barnes; his sons, Tommy (Terri) and Jeff (Susan); his grandchildren, Nina Ward (Curt), Adria Barnes, Benjamin Barnes, Eric Barnes and Austin Barnes; his great grandchildren, Kendall Ward and Kenzie Ward; and his siblings, Lila Jean Griffin, Larry Barnes (Mary Helen) and Randall Barnes (Judy). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Flowers are welcome or memorial donations may be made to First Baptist Church of White City at, 7210 SR 71, Wewahitchka, Florida 32465, in honor of Rodney's life and faith.
