With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Douglas Grey Kersey of Macclenny, Florida, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 3, 2025 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid adieu to Douglas' earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in his wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Douglas has bequeathed us. For though he may have departed from our sight, his spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Dorothy Kersey (Taggert) and James Edward Kersey Sr.; his siblings, Michael, Benjamin, James, Jack Kersey and Helen Kersey; and his children, Arthur L. Charles and Delores Kersey.
He is survived by: his wife Betty "Darlene" Kersey of Macclenny; and his children, Tommy L. Phillips Sr. (Jennifer) of Macclenny and Lisa Walker of Jacksonville. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
