He is survived by : his son Ellis Marvin Franks, III (Nida); his brothers, George Franks (Susan) of Cyler, FL and Ferman Kay Sands Jr. (John) of New Orleans, LA; his grandchildren, Lane, Kiersten, Leah, Landen, Elena, Abigail, Anastasia, Whitley, Stanten, Devin, Ellis Abel, Hailey and Matthew; and the mothers of children, Lynn Bradley and Donna Sue Perry. He is also survived by numerous extended family member and friends.
