He was predeceased by: his parents, Alma Starling (Thornton) and Rommie Hardy Starling; his son Tommy J. Starling; his siblings, R. L. Starling, Catherine Youngblood and Annette Thomas; his close friend Shirley Timmons; and his pets, Sugar and Blackie.
He is survived by: his son Joseph "Joey" F. Starling Jr. (Cindy) of Lake City; his stepson Doug Timmons of Middleburg; his sister Barbara Belleville of Glen St; his grandchildren, Eddie Moore Jr. (Teresa), Christopher Starling, Christin Raymond (Nate), Dustin Starling (Kristen), Dalton Starling, Jadyn Starling, Walker Starling, Jamie Timmons and Jason Timmons; and his nephew George Wilkerson. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.
