He was predeceased by: his parents, William Coody and Jean Morris Coody; and his sister Billie Jean Coody Fuqua. He is survived by: his caregiver Carolyn Coody of Valdosta, Georgia; and his sibling's children, Kayte Jean Locke (Richard) of Soddy Daisy, Tennessee and Carl Fuqua (Angela) of Tallahassee, Florida..
