He was predeceased by : his parents, William Coody and Jean Morris Coody; and his sister Billie Jean Coody Fuqua. He is survived by : his caregiver Carolyn Coody of Valdosta, Georgia; his niece Kayte Jean Locke (Richard) of Soddy Daisy, Tennessee; and his nephew Carl Fuqua (Angela) of Tallahassee, Florida..

A graveside service was held on Thursday, April 4th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Ebenezer Cemetery (2319 NW Ebenezer Church Rd, Madison, FL 32340).
