He was predeceased by : his parents, James Merritt Capps and Bettie Frances Applewhite Capps. He is survived by : his wife Stephanie Capps of Madison, Florida; his children, Tylyn Stansel of Live Oak, James Ty Capps II (Melissa) of Jasper, Lindsay McLeod of Madison and Dillon Pickles (Dominique) of Lake City, Florida; his brothers, Ronnie Capps (Sharon) of Live Oak and Ray Capps (Kanoye) of Lake City, Florida; his grandchildren, Hayleigh, Ty, Annie, Logan, Kenley, Amber, Austin, Abby, Brantley and Hudson; and his great grandchild Liam.
