He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Lewis Hoyt Epperson and Kate Elaine Dinsmore; his sisters, Frances, Jean and Helen; his wife Delores Kapustka; his daughters, Shawn Geitner (Chuck) and Sharon L. Epperson; his granddaughter Remi Shea Geitner; and his siblings, Lanier Epperson and Karen Lefebvre.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Wounded Warriors Foundation or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
