He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar and Agnes; his brothers, Elliot and Gordon; and his son Jay Garlie.
He is survived by: his grandson Ben Garlie (Heather); his great grandchild Bailey Garlie; and his nieces and nephews, Todd (Carmen), Ron (Lavonne), Bryan, Judi and Marilyn.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Outdoor Adventure Foundation.
